This mural is located at The Kee event venue in Columbus, OH. Following the theme of migration from the mural “Migratory Patterns” (also located at The Kee), the humpback whale has one of the longest migration of any mammal on the planet. This specific humpback whale is from the Australian seas, named Blade Runner because she suffered injuries to her side and right fluke from a boat propeller in 2001. However, she has been spotted off different coasts several times in the past two decades. Her story represents the resilience of this beautiful creature, and also serves as a reminder to be mindful and respect our ocean friends.
